SPG purchased Cathedral Lanes shopping centre from Hammerson Plc for £5.5 million in October 2014.

The Wilko store was re-geared prior to purchase and the rest of the scheme is to be refurbished to create a number of restaurant units fronting on to the newly pedestrianised piazza. Pre-lets were secured with Wagamama, Las Iguanas and Cosy Club who opened in September 2015.

More restaurant units will be available in a second phase.
